Born in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, I'm currently living in Brisbane, where I'm completing a Bachelor of Multimedia, majoring in Internet Computing (which is essentially Web Programming). I started out in a Bachelor of Information Technology, but soon realised the web was where I wanted to be and at the time, all programming majors offered were in relation to desktop programming. I completed a gap year of various Bachelor of Arts subjects, including some humanities, psychology and business, but was not swayed from my passion, web languages.
Since I was thirteen I have been studying web languages, starting with the compulsory (for the time) HTML 4 and working my way into JavaScript/DHTML and SQL. Since undertaking my degree, I have followed the progression of HTML into XHTML/CSS and have also picked up ActionScript 2/3.0 as well as PHP (including the Smarty templating system). Outside of university time, I have worked with the CakePHP Rapid Development Framework, as well as open source content management systems (CMS') such as Drupal, Joomla and Zikula.
Outside of the web, I most enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and our cat, Cameron. I enjoy the occasional game of soccer and have a healthy interest in Japanese/European cars. My dream vehicle is a rather quick, series two MKIV Toyota Supra RZ.
A summary of my academic career, as well as positions I've had, can be found in my resume, which is available in PDF format.
